From my personal experience i have a female westie and she is very friendly and quiet but also energetic. She has been great around kids that come over that are around the age of 3 I do not know much about any males but I am sure they are great as well, hope this helps

My westie is exactly the same! All she needs now is a Rolls Royce to match her swanky and well off persona! lol I think it’s cute when the recognise things they love or like to have fun with, like when we say to our dog are you off to get the pigeons or the ‘pidge pidges’ she goes running off into the garden snorting and growling at the trees, same with cats, wheelie bins, postmen, strangers and I’m not kidding when I say this but old people aswell! Strange but I love her to pieces
