I am just looking around for a dog and several of my friends have suggested a west highland terrier. Does anyone have an idea of how much they cost?

Thank you

They can bee anywhere for $400 and up; but before giving into what your friends are suggesting, you may want to do some further research of your own. Afterall, you are going to own and care for the dog, and your life isn’t exactly like any of your friends. You need to take a good look at what you can actually do as far as care time (grooming, exercising, attention, training, etc) and your living environment (house, apt., infants, children, other animals, outside dog/inside dog, etc). Although Westies are wonderful dogs (my mom had one) you may find your perfect match in another breed or a mix even. One advantage of mixes,in case you’ve already ruled them out is that they tend not to be as suseptible to the genetic “defects” of pure breeds, such as hip displasia and such. And they can be just as beautiful and any pure breed around, and will be less expensive to adopt in the first place. Just be sure to understand the different breeds so that you can understand the dog. HOpe some of this helps you find your perfect match.

I have a seventh month lab. Would it be a good idea to get a chihuahua or white west highland terrier?
